Culture War, the Conspiracy - Part 1.
Note: This will be a 2-part post. This post will focus on one aspect of the topic at hand - The Culture War - and address other part of the topic later on in a post which is Part 2.
In modern society, most political conversations have been linked to the mostly modern phenomenon of the Culture War. Everything from Immigration, Rights for certain peoples, Freedom of Speech, Climate Change's existance, and even Education and how influenced it is by politics. All of these topics do have a right to be discussed except now they've become core part's of peoples' identities about these topics. This is an obvious sign of Polarization to a massive degree, which is why this whole 'culture war' debate exists to begin with. I will now focus on specfic aspects of the culture war battlefield to give my twosense and see wether or not these debates should or should not be had, or have crediblity to stay as a political topic point or not.
First, let's start with Immigration, as I have mentioned about it before. Like in my previous article about immigration here more in detail, here I will discuss as to how neither the left or the right wing sides of this debate will not ever talk about the nations being affected by immigration, or rather, the countries loosing the people from immigration. The closest of a pure mention from either side comes from left wing talking points, as to how they should improve living conditions for migrants and refugees, illegal or not. However neither side wants to deal with the reality, that Corporations are the ones mostly importing massive amounts of people from poorer countries to work in the West. Therefore, Immigration as a point of contention is barely useful of a debate to have. The Right does have some sense in that illegal immigration is an issue, but due to the way statistics for illegal immigrants are usually measured, the numbers are blown off course to make it seem like an invasion. The Left however should not fully dismiss the concerns of mass immigration, considering the broken state of the integration system in most Western nations, specfically the U.S.A. where the culture war itself is mostly occuring.
Now, onto the Gender war. First on the male/female divide and then on the LGB community. To begin, there is a whole war in of itself between males and females. The whole Manosphere and #MeToo movements showing up, aswell as the political voting differences between the two genders shows the wideness of the gap. The problem with this whole Gender War is that it is effectively polarizing men and women, which is leading to the erosion of trust, hyper-generalization on both sides, which is indirectly or directly, leading to a declining birth rate. All being said, there are points for both sides. Abortion does make sense in certain situations, and Women should be able to have the same rights as Men. However, it is mostly from the Woman's sexual revolution that all of these issues have returned. If it weren't for it, then we'd move on, knowing fully well that Men and Women have the same rights. I obviously do not know nor have studied everything on this particular subject, but it is effecting society in a very fundamental way that can only be described as tribalism.
As for the second part of the gender war, the LGB community, it's even more complicated. The Right and Left are valid in some points, but this discussion overall is just pointless. How? That the modern movement is a werid monstruous thing that soughts out to ensure it's own survival and existance at all costs. Previous LGB movements were at most, small and tiny. Until the 1960s where the Vietnam War protests allowed for all sorts of movements to arise, such as this one. The thing is, is that they try to replicate the Civil Rights movement, but then repeat their message over and over again. They require a whole month, invent a new part of the movement in the 1990s to add the -T onto LGBT, and then create even more movements to "liberate" people from their binary genders. Therefore, whilst I see the first three as somewhat legitmate, even despite my bias, I don't see the other parts of the movement as legitmate as the others. As for if they should exist, people should take their own choices. But there are serious risks such as health; both mental and physical, risks which come along with being LGB, and people should be allowed to experience them if they so wish. If they are fine with it, good. If not? Also good. The Problem has mostly been resolved.
Now onto the most contraversial, the protection of certain peoples. This is usually mixed in with immigration, but usually the argument is about minorities and their rights, usually those of the Black Community, or Hispanic Community, or other minority which exists in the Western world where this debate and argument is occuring. Both the Left and the Right agree fully that minorities deserve rights. Only radical leftists and radical right wingers will disagree, but their voices do not matter. However even the moderate Left is pushing the narrative that the Right hates all minorities, due to oppression and other such things going on as of recent, with police violence and response to minorities being a common example. Now this topic is extremely complicated on it's own, and is a debate worth having completely. However it is important to note that sometimes, the history of minority oppression has been exploited for personal gain before, aswell as used for mass hysteria and other less peaceful adventures. Both sides are guilty, and at the end of the day, since I am not as experienced in this topic, Minorities should be treated well, but also kept in check. But not uniquely, just like everyone else
There is also the argument about the trustworthness of minorities in the Western World, which mostly comes from the Right Wing. This is more of an immigration point, but even to minorities native or long living ancestery in those lands, are deemed to have a chance to be untrustworthy. This is also a problem which can be solved with another point from Immigration - just improve the integration system. If the minorities are trustworthy, then they would integrate, which would hopefully be the vast majority, and therefore decrease any concerns. Futhermore, now they can be treated as well as the majority population, and therefore not recieve inequalities such as, increased police awareness or public indecency. Therefore, this can be solved easily if the integration system were to be fixed properly and also support be stricter on crime, without seeing a change in skin tone to be a risk to worry about.
What about the Freedom of Speech? Since this culture war is happening in the west, you would expect that this would not be a question at all - people should be allowed to say anything, no matter how contraverisal it is. That's how a democracy is framed right? For the people, by the people? Yet there has been a formation of "Cancel Culture" which terrorises the West by removing and destroying people who say mearly offensive things. Now I may be exaggerating, but "Cancel Culture" has destroyed the lives of people, metaphorically and literally. This is an obvious violation of democracy on any grounds. No matter what the Right or Left wing say, everyone should have a voice to say anything, for mear words cannot be a crime. A crime is an action which harms, and words, try as they might, cannot physically harm you. Therefore it is out of the question, this debate is pointless. Cancel Culture is pointless. All should have a freedom to express whatever, as long as it does not mean anything, or isn't acted upon if it is particularly explicit.
Now onto Climate Change... This debate makes zero sense, but the Right does keep pushing it is fictional, or hyperexagerated. I will give them the benefit of the doubt in that, Climate Change has been hammered on for over decades now, yet the Left has done absolutely nothing which could solve it, short term or long term. Just switching some cars to electric will not decrease the temperature of earth by half a celcius degree. Therefore, there is claim that Climate Change has been exaggerated. However the affects of Climate Change are slowly showing up, such as worse weather, drying water resources, ice melting to increase water levels, and more. Therefore, neither the current Left or Right are capable to actually deal with the issue of Climate Change, as one dismisses it entirely to justify increasing taxes, and the other simply increase taxes on the things which drive Climate Change and fund for Net Zero projects which are usually too optimistic. Simply put, not enough action is being done to solve Climate Change at all.
Finally, the last center which I will focus on is History. For some reason, Left Wingers keep advocating to remove public memorials of contraversial figures, or whitewash history to remove all the parts they don't enjoy about it from the education system. This is simply wrong in all ways. The Education system already was dysfunctional as it is, as most Western Countries have an education system which doesn't even create the types of workers ment for the current generation, and doesn't teach them independance or critical thinking. So adding more by removing core parts of history is wrong. Same applies to momuments, which are works of history which must be preserved, no matter how contraversial of a figure they were. Just let the figures have their momuments, even if they gained it in a bad way. Again, relates to the earlier argument of freedom of speech. So, Education shouldn't be whitewashed and history shouldn't be manipluated or destroyed.
Now that I've given my twosense is all well and good, but so what? These are simply my opinions, without lots of research or whatnot. So what? Well the Culture war exists and it is effecting people negatively in many ways. So why come it exists? Why can't we just agree on one set of ideas or just comprimise? Why do we need to continue the cycle of political polarization which splits the Left and the Right much more? Why? I will attempt to answer these in Part 2.
